Handicap Index Calculator Instructions
1. Please select whether your handicap will be based on 18 holes or 9 holes per
round. If you are entering 9 hole scores, you need to make sure you enter
the course rating for those 9 holes, instead of for all 18 holes.
2. You must enter a minimum of 5 scores to generate an accurate Handicap
Index based on USGA rules and regulations. If you do not have 5
scores, the calculator will use your one lowest Handicap
Differential in calculating your Handicap Index.
3. USGA Course Rating and Course Slope can be obtained by either
consulting your scorecard or someone at the golf course. These will
make your handicap calculation more accurate. If you do not have this
information, we will assume the average values for Course and Slope Ratings,
and you would only need to enter your total scores.
This free golf handicap calculator gives you an idea of what your official USGA
Handicap Index would be. This golf handicap calculator is not affiliated with
the USGA, and the result is not an official USGA Handicap Index.
